About DanceWorks
DanceWorks Studios provides inclusive, high-quality dance education for students ages 3 through teen, with classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz Tap & Hip Hop.
Now entering our 28th season, DanceWorks is led by Founder and Artistic Director Kathy Costa McKeown, whose philosophy emphasizes strong technique, personal growth, and the power of performance. Students gain more than dance skills; they gain confidence, discipline, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
Each season culminates in our Annual Dance Concert in June, a full-stage production that showcases every dancer’s progress.
For advanced students, our audition-only teen touring company, DanceWorks & Co., performs throughout the region and internationally. Learn more here.
We also offer a Summer Dance Camp for continued learning, creativity, and fun.
We also host a monthly adults-only jazz and modern class and social, welcoming beginners, returning dancers, and anyone who loves to move.
DanceWorks is proud to be a multi-year Best of Montclair Award winner, and continues to support global outreach programs that connect students with the wider world through service and the arts.
